In addition to her work at the clinic, Dr. Mieske practices as a Palliative Medicine Physician with Interior Health, where she is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families facing serious illness. In addition to his position of “chief light bulb changer” at the clinic, Dr. Sonnichsen is involved in oncology care at Kootenay Lake Hospital, as a GP Oncologist. He also serves as a Medical Examiner for Transport Canada, conducting Aviation and Marine Medicals and serves as department physician for City of Nelson Firefighters Wellness Program. Outside of his clinical work, Dr. Sonnichsen has a strong interest in carpentry, design, building, and land development. Selda works closely with individual patients to determine their wellness priorities while listening carefully to what matters most to them. This approach enables Selda to tailor individual physiotherapy treatment plans for each patient. Selda’s scope of practice treats a range of concerns including: aches and pains, musculoskeletal injuries, dizziness and vertigo, and concussion.
