After training Dr MCBride moved west to live amongst the mountains and completed his Family Medicine residency in 2011 at UBC. Dr McBride compliments his family practice with ER shifts at Kootenay Lake Hospital. Dr McBride also is a highly respected advocate for improvements to medical care within the Kootenay Boundary region. Other professional interests involve providing care to those living with HIV as part of the STOP-HIV program and facilitating critical care education throughout the Kootenays. Dr Mieske also works in Palliative Medicine for Interior Health. Selda focuses on patients’ priorities and listens carefully to what matters most to them, tailoring treatment plans accordingly. She assesses and treats a range of concerns including aches and pains, musculoskeletal injuries, dizziness and vertigo, and concussion.
